Audition Call Out - Where is the Green Sheep?

Monkey Baa will be holding auditions at ARA Darling Quarter Theatre in Sydney on the 30th and 31st August 2024, for our development and production of our brand new production Where is the Green Sheep? based on the picture book by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek.

Who are we looking for:

Puppeteer/performers with experience in theatre for young people and an interest in extensive touring.

All auditionees must:   

  • Must have puppetry experience. 2 years minimum.

  • Must be available for call backs on Monday September 2nd 

  • Must be strictly Sydney based with a current Sydney address

  • Be aged above 21

  • Hold a full Australian driver’s license. This is a strict requirement

Audition Details:

Auditions are in person only on the 30th and 31st August and callbacks 2nd September. ARA Darling Quarter Theatre.

How to Submit:

Agents, please only send through suggestions of artists who have been checked in with and are interested and available for this project. We have limited places.

Send a copy of your CV and headshot to the Artistic Director Eva Di Cesare for consideration.

Please submit suggestions by August 24th, and we will get back to you in the week commencing August 26th.

Key Dates:

Auditions August 30 and 31 2024 (must also be available for call backs on Sept 2nd)

Callbacks September 2, 2024.

Creative Development November 25  - December 7 2024 /Feb 10-15, 2025

Rehearsals May 12, 2025 

Opening season June 16-22, 2025

Second Season 2 weeks December 2025 TBC

National Tour, January - October 2026. (Unpaid down time Mid July to mid August 2025)

Fees:

This will be a PCA engagement and paid according with that agreement, plus all travel, allowances, current superannuation and annual leave.
