Explore the world of Detention, a gripping stage production that tells the powerful story of two young people from disparate worlds—Sima, a Hazara refugee, and Dan, a boy from regional Australia—bonded by their search for home and safety.

Students will unpack themes of displacement, belonging and shared humanity through creative and reflective activities inspired by the play. Guided by experienced Teaching Artists, participants will engage with the storytelling process, exploring how theatre can ignite conversations and inspire change.

This workshop is suitable for students in Years 5 to 8, with activities tailored to their age group. Each two-hour session accommodates up to 30 students at $25 + GST per student, with a minimum charge of $500.

Each one-hour session is tailored to students from Year 5 to 8, with content adjusted to suit their age and needs. Workshops can accommodate up to 30 students at $15 + GST per student, with a minimum charge of $300, and are available across Australia.
