About Monkey Baa

Tim's first public appearance was at the age of five as a Bishop at his Kindergarten Debut. He found this an extremely painful experience and 'hung up his acting boots' until high school. At thirteen he started acting classes and joined a local theatre group. Tim then auditioned for the school musical The Boyfriend, playing the elderly Lord Brockhurst. Bye Bye Birdie followed and he then joined the local musical society in Rockdale.

Tim decided he wanted to be a professional actor so he auditioned for some acting schools. In 1985 he moved to Perth and trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts for three years.

More than any other kind of acting, Tim loves performing in theatre. He's been in many plays for many different theatre companies. Some of those plays were written specifically for young people including Nadia Wheatley's Five Times Dizzy, Hating Alison Ashley by Robin Klein and Carlos the Cane toad by Faye Montgomery. This last play was particularly exciting to perform as he toured to a young people's festival in Tokyo and performed it in Japanese. For Monkey Baa, Tim has performed in The Fairy's Wings, The Bugalugs Bum Thief, Worry Warts. The Prospectors and Hitler’s Daughter.
Other theatre shows include It’s a Dad thing, Bouncers, Macbeth, The Carthaginians, The Information, A Respectable Wedding and Big River - the Musical.

Tim has also appeared in films and on TV in All Saints, The Camera Trap, Backberner, A More Fortunate Life, Lilian's Story and The Goddess of 1967.

Tim loves swimming in the sea and adores spending time with his kids!
